“Riyadh Airports” Launches the New Private Aviation Terminal
“Riyadh Airports” launched the New Private Aviation Terminal today in King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Transport Dr. Nabeel Al-Amoudi, Among the attendees was His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation Captain Abdulhakim Al-Tamimi, the Vice Chairman of the board of directors in the General Sports Authority His Highness Prince AbdulAziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, His Excellency the Transport Minister Assistant and a member of “Riyadh Airports” Board of Directors Mr. Abdulhadi Al-Mansouri, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Mansour Al-Mansour, along with the acting CEO of “Riyadh Airports” Mr. Musad Al-Daood, and the acting commercial VP Mr. Gelban Al-Gelban, and in the presence of a number of executives in the government, air transport companies and a number of “Riyadh Airports” stakeholders.
The opening of the new terminal coincides with Saudi Arabia’s hosting the ABB FIA Formula
-E, while the new private aviation terminal in King Khalid International Airport, is expected to witness an increase in passengers’ numbers and in the average of international and domestic flights arriving and departing from the private aviation terminal.
“Riyadh Airports” has revealed that the area of the new private aviation terminal is 2617 square meters, and it has doubled the area of the airport apron to increase and accommodate more airplanes, as well as expanding the number of parking lots in the new terminal in order to increase the accommodational and operational capacity in the terminal. This terminal has adopted modern and international criteria in designing, as well as meeting the highest standards in security and safety systems.
“Riyadh Airports”, which manages and operates King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, has launched a package of projects and services at the beginning of the year 2018, to facilitate and enhance passengers’ experience, and to respond to the constant growth in terms of air traffic, cargo, passengers and flights numbers.
